  • JP Chat Men’s basketball pushes past Chattanooga, falls to Samford

      The men's basketball team traveled to Alabama this week for two chances to defend their perfect Conference record. Both games were extremely close and were decided in the final seconds, but their outcomes were less than similar. In Wednesday's game against Chattanooga, the Wildcats were able to survive, 64-63, but they found themselves on the wrong end of Samford's 77-74 victory on Saturday.

  • Tennis struggles in early matches

      The doubles point was ultimately the deciding factor in a 3-4 loss for the Davidson women's tennis team at UNC Asheville.  After splitting the six singles matches, the Asheville Bulldogs won two of the three doubles matches to get the victory.

  • Track kicks off indoor seasons

      The Wildcats opened their first indoor track meet of the season with a bang. Demetrios Pagonis '13 shattered the 5000m school record at the Niswonger Invitational Saturday, hosted by Tennessee State University.  Pagonis broke Tom Divinnie's '10 5K record of 14:36.

      The David Parrott Sportsmanship Award is given to a student participating in club or intramural sports who combines the will to win with the courage and commitment to act with respect and integrity, both on and off the field. Worthington was chosen due to her strong belief in commitment to team, sense of community and respect for both the game and her opponents.

  • Women’s basketball edges out Furman

      The Davidson women's basketball team returned to action for the first time in a week on Monday night in Belk Arena.  It was their second meeting against Southern Conference foe Furman, whom the Wildcats defeated 61-50 on January 7. Sophia Aleksandravicius '13 led the way in the rematch with 20 points, 11 rebounds and a school-record 9 blocks en route to an easy 78-57 Wildcat victory.

  • burtonakright Swimming & Diving teams remain victorious

        In their final meet of the regular season, the women's swimming and diving team had a strong showing at the CCSA duals on Saturday, finishing 5-1 in dual races.  The Wildcats were led by CCSA swimmer of the week, Meredith Nakano '15, Jessica Ardecky '12 and Lauren Kamperman '12,  Kelsi Hobbs and Allison Cottle '13, and Kaliya Burton-Akright '14 and Liz Mace '14 all had stellar perfromances.

  • burquist Swimming & Diving teams remain victorious

    In a dual meet on Saturday afternoon in Cannon Natatorium, the Davidson men's swimming team defeated Howard University 174-97. The Wildcat men were paced by an outstanding ten first place finishes. Senior Geoff Peitz led the 'Cats with two wins in both the 100 yard breaststroke and the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 1:00.
