"I think Davidson has a great reputation, and one of the things that attracted me was the rich undergraduate intellectual life here that competes with other identities. Even though it has great sports and extracurricular programs, the core mission is preparing students to be smart educated citizens who are able to participate in all walks of life. I was terribly seduced by the idea that we aren't just training students for jobs."
